Characters

A mysterious, extremely wealthy man who appears at the Governor's Ball dressed as Elvis Presley. He gives Brian a card and cryptically offers help. The episode notes suggest he will return and play a larger role.

Wealthy, socially awkward tech entrepreneur who has recently made $45 million from coding. Brian is nerdy, anxious and easily overwhelmed by his chaotic group of friends. Despite his success, he struggles socially and romantically, particularly around Jane.

Brian's secretary. Jane is kind-hearted and nervous around Brian, secretly harbouring feelings for him. Her attempts to express those feelings repeatedly collide with Brian's embarrassing and chaotic personal life.

One of Brian's closest friends and the comparatively sensible member of the group. Jim speaks in a refined manner and is engaged or married to Sally. Despite trying to remain responsible, he is regularly dragged into the group's disasters.

Brian's stylish butler and chauffeur. John remains unusually calm while transporting Brian and his chaotic friends. Later hints reveal there may be significantly more to him than initially appears, including a possible undercover connection to Sally and the cult.

Also known as Mic

Brian's wildly impulsive, intoxicated and sexually uninhibited friend. Mic regularly turns ordinary situations into complete disasters and appears almost immune to consequences. He is confident, reckless and usually the catalyst for the group's chaos.
